This is a time for huge growth in language and social skills. Teachers model language skills and help children learn to express their wants and needs through responsive caregiving to ensure that each child is developing appropriate language skills. By continually listening, talking, and describing actions to our toddlers, we help enhance vocabulary, expand expressive language skills, improve communication, and develop self-esteem.
